Jeffery K. Tomberlin and Aaron M. Tarone. \u00a0Prior to pursuing her PhD at Texas A&amp;M University, Meaghan received her BS in Entomology from Cornell University in 2007. After teaching English in Okinawa, Japan for three years, she decided she was ready to reintegrate into the world of academia. Meaghan\u2019s PhD research examined functional genomics, molecular ecology, foraging behavior, and sexual dimorphism in the invasive blow fly\u00a0<em>Chrysomya rufifacies<\/em>. Meaghan has accepted a postdoctoral associate position with Dr. Jeff Lozier at the University of Alabama to study adaptive populations genomics and genetics of native pollinators.\u00a0 In addition to continuing molecular work in the lab, she will also have an opportunity to go out in the field to collect bumblebee workers and queens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEAGHAN PIMSLER received her PhD under the supervision of Drs.
