Chin received his BS with honors in Biomedical Science at the National University of Malaysia in 2006. He also received his M.S. in Parasitology from the same university in 2009. Chin has an extensive background in parasitology and arthropod taxonomy. His interest is in the application of entomology in forensic investigations. For his PhD, Chin will examine the non-consumptive effects of <em>Chrysomya rufifacies<\/em> (Diptera: Calliphoridae) on arthropod community structure and function on carrion in Texas.\u00a0 His research is in collaboration with Dr. Tawni Crippen &#8211; USDA &#8211; ARS and Dr. Eric Benbow at the University of Dayton.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHIN HEO is a PhD student in the FLIES Laboratory.
