\"fengchun\"<\/a>FENGCHUN \u201cSPRING\u201d YANG<\/strong> received his B.S. in Agriculture Science from Penn State University in 2014. Spring is currently pursuing his M.S. degree in the FLIES Facility advised by Dr. Jeffery K. Tomberlin. He is collaborating with Dr. Heather Jordan from Mississippi State University. He will also be working with Dr. Tawni Crippen, USDA-ARS, and Dr. Craig Coates, Texas A&M University. Spring will be examining the interactions of host-microbe of black soldier fly, Hermitia illucens<\/em>, and the mechanism of the inter-kingdom communication.\u00a0Specifically, he will be determining the impact of larval starvation on microbial function associated with digestion within the larvae.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
