Admission into the major is competitive and to be considered, students must meet the minimum requirements listed on the Change of Curriculum Information Sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #2c2929;\"><strong>How to submit a request to change your major<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Draft an essay describing why you want to pursue the Financial Planning major.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/us.tamu.edu\/change-of-major\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Change of Major<\/strong><\/a> webpage to view cycles and deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the Change of Major process in Howdy. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/eRByc0kpALg?si=7cLJKNj2djKt56yH\"><strong>Watch a video tutorial for this process here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #2c2929;\"><strong>Academic Advising<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Financial Planning major is in the Department of Agricultural Economics and all academic advising is coordinated through the <a href=\"https:\/\/aglifesciences.tamu.edu\/academic-advisors\/#agls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AGLS Advising Hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donna Adcock is the lead advisor for the Financial Planning major and can answer questions about transfer requirements, course substitutions, degree planners, and transfer credits.
